Modest Mouse by Randy Cremean

Saturday saw perfect weather, an end to the logistical issues plaguing Friday, and several of the fests most memorable performances. King Tuff had everyone smiling, dancing and pumping their fists. The affable trio with the number one album on the college charts won over many hearts and minds. METZ blazed through a ferocious set, inspiring the first wave of stage diving that we saw at the fest. Australia's Courtney Barnett showed she's going to be a superstar and the Swedish sisters of First Aid Kit entranced an enormous crowd. Closing out the night was Modest Mouse, who delivered the best performance we've seen from them in over ten years. The heavens must have agreed, as a large meteor blazed through the night sky during the band's rendition of "Dark Center of the Universe".

We took photos of the following artists: Modest Mouse, Nas, The New Pornographers, First Aid Kit, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Gary Numan, Courtney Barnett, METZ, San Fermin, King Tuff, Glassjaw, Fat White Family, ASTR, Twin Peaks, Zorch, The Sour Notes, Communion, Reputante, Soundfounder.
